Well there are several ways of looking at it - 1) should climate prevent you from doing something you really enjoy and 2) cold water species are different fom the temperate so it'a whole new adventure. Just coz the moon is far doesn't mean we aren't going to try and get there!
well, if the molecules of the skin suit expand when cold and contract when hot (does such matter even exist?) then it would maintain a natural balance of appropriate temp.....hmmm yeah, that's pretty crazy talk.
How about thin, flexible, highly conductive copper wires imbedded within the suit. similar to de-frosters on car windows only of a much higher temperature threshold and would require a small, manually operated energy supply to generate required heat? a supply powered by the effect of minute water currents rotating a hydro-dynamo as you swim?
Cold Water Diving
Aren't the fish prettier in cold water? That is a bonus.....
If you'd rather be diving, of course!

cold water
a skin suit that generates extra heat when the molecules rub against each other as a result of motion perhaps?
However...
Wouldn't that added friction be painful over the long term?
